K E I_H A Y A S H I is a singer-songwriter born in Hokkaido, on May 13, 1990. His band was actively performing on live shows during his high school years in Sapporo, where he grew up.
After moving to Tokyo, he has been a supporting musician to various artists. As a support keyboard and vocal, he joined Brad Rabuchin’s shows in Tokyo during his Japan Tour 2018 and 2019. *Brad is a successful sideman who is also known as Ray Charles' guitarist during the final 5 years of the legend's career.
K E I, as a creator, has been producing TV commercial songs, movie themes, game songs, etc. and has also been writing songs for major artists.
After many years of behind the scenes experience as a musician, he realizes that "to send a certain message through music it can only be done on your own” and so he decides to step into the limelight himself as a front-man singer.
His debut track “Enough Love” was released on May 2019. The following month, he released “Short Of Love?”. Despite being a newcomer his third track “Don’t Leave Me Alone” ranked at top 18 on “SAPPORO HOT 100”, a music chart of a popular radio station known as FM NORTH WAVE. Two songs from his very 1st EP album “KEIHAYASH1” which was released in April 2020, reached at top 6 and 5 on the same music chart. “Wasurechaou”, released in Decemeber 2020, ranked at top 4 and also ranked in the Apple Music "J-POP Top Song" chart in more than 30 countries around the world. His lastest song “CANVAS” was released summer 2021 and had also ranked in the Apple Music "J-POP Top Song" chart in many countries around the world.
Since his debut in 2019, his songs have been selected on numerous official playlists such as "Early Noise Japan", "Soul Music Japan" and more on Spotify and other major streaming services. He has been actively performing shows in different areas mainly in Tokyo and Osaka. He has performed as the opening act for popular Japanese POP/R&B singers/bands such as AI, SIRUP, Original Love and more. He currently hosts his own radio show “KEI_HAYASHI’s All That Jam”, broadcasted every thursday night from 11pm on FM NORTH WAVE. Stay tuned for more to come!!
